Restaurant menu
Dishes and categories for takeaway ordering.
The menu is for restaurants, cafés, bakeries and food stalls. There’s no special restaurant mode — a restaurant simply switches on the features it needs in Features:
- Menu — your dishes and drinks, grouped into categories;
- Orders — to receive and manage food orders;
- Table reservations — so customers can book a table (see Bookings).
What customers can do
| Plan | Menu |
|---|---|
| Free / Pro | Customers can browse your menu in the chat, then contact you to order. |
| Premium | Customers can also order from the menu — dine-in, pickup or delivery — with a cart for several items, in the chat or on your menu web page. |
Pickup and delivery follow your choice in Settings → How customers receive orders. For pickup, customers choose a day and time from your Hours & holidays.
1. Create categories
Categories are the sections of your menu, such as Starters, Mains, Drinks and Desserts. Open the Categories tab, type a name and press Add. Rename one with the pencil. Deleting a category keeps its dishes — they become “Uncategorised” until you move them.
2. Add dishes
On the Dishes tab, press Add dish:
| Name | The dish as customers know it. Required. |
| Description | Ingredients, portion size, spice level, allergens — e.g. “Grilled chicken, rice and salad. Serves 1.” |
| Media | One photo, or up to 5 on Premium. Food photos sell — use good light. |
| Price | Required. |
| Category | Which section the dish appears in. |
| Available | Turn off to hide the dish or mark it sold out. It stays saved for later. |
During service
The Available switch in the dish list works instantly — no need to open the dish. Turn a dish off when it sells out and back on tomorrow. Use the category filter above the list to find dishes quickly.
