Privacy Policy

PiggoChat ("we", "us", "the Service") helps businesses manage their storefront, orders and bookings through Instagram and Facebook Messenger. This policy explains what data we process, why, and the choices you have.
Who we serve
The Service is used by businesses ("Stores") that connect their own Instagram professional account and/or Facebook Page, and by the customers who message those Stores on Instagram or Messenger.
Information we process
- Store account data: the Instagram/Facebook account or Page ID, username or Page name, and an access token the Store authorises, used solely to send and receive messages on that Store's behalf.
- Customer interaction data: when a customer messages a Store, we process the message content and any details the customer provides (e.g. name, phone, email, delivery address) to fulfil their request, such as an order or appointment booking.
- Operational data: products, services, orders, bookings, payments and contact messages created through the conversation or the Store's dashboard, stored for the Store to manage.
- Account & billing data: for Store owners, the login email, a securely hashed password, and subscription/billing records needed to run the account. We do not store full card numbers — payments are handled by our payment provider.
How we use it
Data is used only to provide the Service: replying to messages, showing products/services, taking orders, scheduling appointments, processing subscriptions, and letting the Store manage these from their dashboard. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use customer messages for advertising.
Sharing
Customer information is shared only with the specific Store the customer messaged. We use Meta's Instagram and Messenger Platforms to deliver messages, and trusted providers for email delivery and payment processing — each only receives what they need to perform that function. Their handling of data is governed by their own policies. We may also disclose information if required by law.
Data retention & deletion
Data is retained while a Store uses the Service. A Store may disconnect its Instagram account or Facebook Page at any time, which removes its stored access token. A Store owner may also delete their entire store from the dashboard (Settings → "Close my store"), which permanently removes the store's data and uploaded images. To request deletion of your data, contact us at the email below.
Data security
We protect data with industry-standard measures: encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access tokens stored securely and used only to operate each Store's own chat. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to safeguard your information.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may withdraw consent by disconnecting your account or closing your store. To exercise any of these, contact us using the details below and we'll respond as required by applicable law.
Children
The Service is intended for businesses and adults. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above, and continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
